Conference announcement

Riga Management College is a co-organiser of the 3rd Annual Student Interdisciplinary Research Conference “The Role of Innovation in Management and Digitalisation” and invites students to apply for participation. The conference is organised by Riga Nordic University in cooperation with the Social Integration State Agency and Riga Management College.

The conference will take place on 17 December 2026 at 11:00 at Riga Nordic University, Riga, Latvia.

The conference provides students with a platform to present their research, course projects, case studies and innovative ideas, receive feedback, and strengthen their academic and professional skills.

Thematic tracks

Submissions are invited in, but are not limited to, the following thematic tracks:

• Digital Business & Innovation;
• Information Systems, Computer Science & Cybersecurity;
• Tourism, Hospitality & Service Industry Studies;
• Management, Leadership & Organisational Studies;
• Interdisciplinary & Societal Challenges;
• The Role of Innovation in Management and Digitalisation;
• Psychology, Human Behaviour & Digital Mental Health.

Riga Management College, in cooperation with the Social Integration State Agency, invites researchers, practitioners, academic staff, students and professionals from different fields to participate in the international scientific conference “Space for Wellbeing: People, Environment and Professional Balance”.

The conference will take place on 4 December 2026 at SIVA College, Slokas iela 61, Jūrmala, Latvia, and online. The event will be organised in a hybrid format.

The aim of the conference is to promote interdisciplinary discussion on human wellbeing, environment and professional balance, interpreting the concept of space in a broad sense – from physical and emotional environments to workplace and learning environments, interpersonal relationships and professional wellbeing.

We invite submissions of both research-based and practice- or experience-based presentations.

Possible thematic areas

• human–environment interaction;
• wellbeing and inclusive environments;
• workplace and learning environments;
• accessibility;
• the impact of indoor and outdoor environments on wellbeing;
• the role of teamwork and interpersonal relationships;
• professional balance;
• emotional resilience;
• burnout prevention;
• employee support measures;
• other topics related to the conference theme.

Presentation duration: up to 20 minutes. Presentations may be delivered in English or Latvian. Interpretation will be provided during the conference.

Submission deadline: 15 October 2026.

Presentation proposal form: Submit a proposal.

Please note that submission of a proposal does not automatically guarantee inclusion in the conference programme. After the submission deadline, the conference working group will evaluate the proposals according to their relevance to the conference theme and programme and will inform applicants of the decision.

Conference report

On May 17th, 2023, the first International Conference on Entrepreneurial Processes (IRCEP) was held. Academics, industry experts and students of Riga Management College had an opportunity to share their research findings and opinions on important business and economic matters. All the IRCEP 2023 attendees were invited to join the discussion of the occurring challenges, perspectives and possible solutions

The conference covered trending topics in entrepreneurial and business management processes, such as:

• Digital transformation and its impact on business processes and business models;
• Business strategies and development;
• Management of work organization and motivation of employees;
• The role of leadership and leadership in business and business management processes;
• Sustainable development;

Conference report

on April 22nd, 2022, the students of Riga Management College had a chance to participate in the 17th International Scientific Conference “Students on Their Way to Science”, organized by the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies.

The 4th-semester students Pamela Monyuy Ngoran, Abdul Hai Syed, Silva Godakanda Arachchige Hashan Madumadawa and Abeykoon Mudiyanselage Anjalee Jayaprada presented their work in the field of social sciences. They will use these studies as a basis for the creation of qualification works, defending them very soon to complete Business management studies. After that, they will granted a diploma for the 1st level of higher education.
