Riga Management College invites everyone interested to join an interactive guest lecture and workshop organised within the course Introduction to Travel and Tourism.

The guest lecture will be delivered by Andri Cokia from Nicosia, Cyprus, a Hospitality Lecturer with more than 10 years of professional experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. Her professional background includes experience in Front Office, Reservations, Guest Relations, Rooms Division and Food & Beverage, including work in luxury hotel environments. She currently teaches hospitality and tourism subjects at higher and secondary education level in Cyprus.
The guest lecture, “Tourism in Practice: Understanding the International Tourist Experience”, will explore the tourism industry from a practical perspective, with particular attention to the international tourist experience and the role of hospitality professionals in creating positive guest experiences.
Participants will explore the tourist journey, different visitor expectations, cultural differences in tourism, communication and service recovery, supported by real-life hospitality examples and practical case studies.
The session will also include an interactive workshop, where participants will analyse a realistic hospitality situation and develop their own solutions.
