Riga Management College, in cooperation with the Social Integration State Agency, invites researchers, practitioners, academic staff, students and professionals from different fields to participate in the international scientific conference “Space for Wellbeing: People, Environment and Professional Balance”.
The conference will take place on 4 December 2026 at SIVA College, Slokas iela 61, Jūrmala, Latvia, and online. The event will be organised in a hybrid format.
The aim of the conference is to promote interdisciplinary discussion on human wellbeing, environment and professional balance, interpreting the concept of space in a broad sense – from physical and emotional environments to workplace and learning environments, interpersonal relationships and professional wellbeing.
We invite submissions of both research-based and practice- or experience-based presentations.
Possible thematic areas
- human–environment interaction;
- wellbeing and inclusive environments;
- workplace and learning environments;
- accessibility;
- the impact of indoor and outdoor environments on wellbeing;
- the role of teamwork and interpersonal relationships;
- professional balance;
- emotional resilience;
- burnout prevention;
- employee support measures;
- other topics related to the conference theme.
Presentation duration: up to 20 minutes. Presentations may be delivered in English or Latvian. Interpretation will be provided during the conference.

Please note that submission of a proposal does not automatically guarantee inclusion in the conference programme. After the submission deadline, the conference working group will evaluate the proposals according to their relevance to the conference theme and programme and will inform applicants of the decision.
