Terēza Korsaka, lecturer at Riga Management College, together with Vladimirs, Artūrs, and Elīna, participated in the Erasmus+ non-formal education training project “Minecraft for Youth Participation”, which took place from 14 to 22 December 2025 in Wrocław, Poland. Within the project, all participants collectively represented the NGO “Pupukis in sky.”
Non-formal education plays an important role in youth work and the education system, as it promotes the development of practical skills, critical thinking, creativity, and social responsibility. It complements formal education and provides opportunities to learn through experience, active participation, and collaboration.
The aim of the project was to enhance the professional competencies of youth workers and educators by using the digital tool Minecraft as an innovative method to foster youth participation, civic engagement, and collaborative skills within non-formal education.
The project brought together youth workers from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Turkey, providing a wide platform for international experience exchange and intercultural cooperation.
During the project, participants took part in thematic workshops, practical tasks, and discussions, developing digital skills, communication, and teamwork, as well as deepening their understanding of modern non-formal education methods.
