The residence permit is a document issued in the format of a personal identity card (eID card) and enables a foreigner to stay in Latvia for a certain period or permanently. Tuition is entirely refundable if the student’s visa is denied. Refund policies are described in detail in the study agreement, you are free to ask for more information and explanations before signing the agreement.
An apostille is a type of certification used to verify submitted documents, it authenticates their validity. This removes the need for further confirmation from foreign embassies or consulates. It is being used when formal legal documents such as birth certificates, education documents etc. are required to cross international borders.
International applicants must pass an extra entrance examination (online interview), which is conducted to find out the applicant’s reasons for enrolling in a study programme.
The student must pass two tests: an English grammar exam and a test on Latvia. Following the Skype interview, the student will need to complete a 2.5-hour B2 Level English exam. Only in the event that the student lacks a certificate of English competence is this exam required.
