The programme objectives of the seminar aim to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of diversity and inclusion in higher education. This includes learning the basic concepts and dimensions of diversity, as well as developing competence in handling diversity.
Participants will also recognize the significance and advantages of diversity management within higher education institutions, and gain insight into creating inclusive study and work environments.
The seminar, titled “Managing Diversity and Fostering an Inclusive Environment in Higher Education,” will cover topics such as basic diversity concepts, elements of inclusive communication and environments, strategic diversity management practices, and the benefits of implementing diversity management.
Scheduled for May 21, 2024, from 14:00 to 17:00, the seminar will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, with Vita Stiģe-Škuškovnika, PhD cand. (BA Turība), Mg.sc.soc., as the lecturer.
